Our client who are a global market leader specializing in distribution transformers and a company of R&S, seeks to employ a Qualified Electrician.

The Role: Critical & Diverse

In this key position, you will be a Production Electrician trained to work across critical electrical roles within our production and finishing processes. This role requires shift work with fixed schedules. Your diverse and vital tasks will include:

• Connecting cable and control boxes on large units.
• Electrically testing transformers to high customer specification, including testing according to ISO 17025.
• Cable joining and termination.
• Fault finding and diagnosis, following production schematics.
• Inspecting and testing electrical systems.
• Occasional working with maintenance and visiting customer site.
• Electricians operate from our factory environment.

Desired Skills & Qualities

• The ideal candidate will be a Qualified Electrician who possesses:
• Experience with schematics.
• Experience in the use of testing equipment and hand tools.
• Demonstrated organizational skills.
• Experience working at heights.
• Normal colour vision.
• Ability to carry out shift work and manual work.
• Strong safety ethic and a proactive work attitude.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Enjoys working on own initiative as well as interacting with others.
