Job description

My client, a disability provider that specialises the provision of residential day and community-based services, supporting children with Autism, intellectual, physical, and sensory disabilities is hiring for an experienced and qualified Senior Occupational Therapist. This is a hybrid role with service locations needing travelling to Galway, Clare, Limerick, and Kilkenny.

Key Duties:

  • Assess, plan, and provide therapy for children and adults using the service.
  • Work closely with families, support teams, and other professionals to deliver and support OT programmes.
  • Manage your own OT caseload using the organisation's systems.
  • Keep the Senior Occupational Therapist updated on service needs and developments.
  • Take part in committees and working groups when needed (e.g. Human Rights, Restricted Practices).
  • Follow all safety and infection control policies.
  • Report and act on any issues that could harm service users or reduce care quality.
  • Complete and report incident or near-miss forms as needed.

Essential Criteria:

  • Have a Diploma, Degree, or Master's in Occupational Therapy.
  • Hold a qualification that is recognised by CORU.
  • Have experience working with autistic children and adults with intellectual disabilities
  • Must have a full, clean driving licence and access to a car, and be willing to travel to different service locations as needed.
