Our client, a premier HVAC control systems house based in Newtownabbey are currently seeking to recruit a Service Projects Manager to join their team.
The salary will be competitive based on experience with many company benefits.
The role is permanent.
This is a full-time position based at their head office in Newtownabbey however the role would be of a hybrid nature with a mix of office-based and site work and ad hoc travel throughout the UK and Ireland as the projects dictate.
Key Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities of the role are as follows:
- Working under the direction of the Operations Director, you would be responsible for the delivery of a variety of Service Projects. (Additional resource will be provided to assist with larger projects)
- Direct responsibility for the management, scheduling, planning and organisation of a team of engineers to carry out these works within time and budget. (Additional resource will be provided to assist as workload dictates)
- Liaising directly with contractors, sub-contractors, clients and end users to ensure the successful delivery of the projects in terms of customer satisfaction and project budget.
- Organisation and handover of information from Sales Engineer to understand the job at hand and to successfully deliver the project from concept to completion.
- Liaising with suppliers and responsibility for ordering and receipt of parts.
- Invoicing of completed works on a monthly basis.
- You will play a proactive role in setting the Service Project budget at the start of the financial year in terms of Revenue targets, profitability and headcount requirements.
- You will attend the monthly SMT meeting on a quarterly basis. At the meeting you would present an update on your targets and identify any strengths & weaknesses that require action.
Criteria:
- At least 3-years experience delivering Service Projects as a BMS professional including an in-depth knowledge of Trend (IQ4, IQ Vision & SET)
- Recent experience of upgrading clients legacy BMS systems.
- Experience of fault finding and modification of control panels both old and new.
- Good communication skills and a collaborative approach to problem solving.
- Self-sufficient in interrogating and writing complex control strategies to support your team.
- A strong understanding of Modbus, BACnet and Dali technologies with the ability to provide help and support to your team to overcome challenges.
- This role will require the successful applicant to undertake training to be able to lead and upskill their team in Siemens BMS technologies.
- To have the ability of remaining calm under pressure with a strong focus on achieving agreed targets within a specified timeframe.
- Ad hoc travel will be required to customer sites throughout UK & Ireland.
