Senior Speech and Language Therapist

My client, a private healthcare provider who provides person centred services for adults and children with an intellectual disability, autism and acquired brain injury is seeking a Senior Speech and Language Therapist for their Cork, Kildare & Meath residential sites.

Key Duties:

• Use strong clinical knowledge and skills to conduct SLT assessments and therapy based on best practices for service users.
• Share essential information clearly with clients, families, staff, team members, and other professionals about assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, and progress.
• Use your experience to assess and treat problems with feeding, eating, drinking, and swallowing.
• Collaborate with clients, their families, carers, and staff to set goals and create treatment plans.
• Take part in meetings and case conferences as a representative of the Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) service.
• Provide supervision and support to newly qualified (Basic Grade) Speech and Language Therapists.

Essential Criteria:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
• Registered with CORU as a Speech and Language Therapist in Ireland.
• A Full Driving License and access to own car.
• 3 year's post qualification clinical experience.
• Experience in working with adults with intellectual disabilities / Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
