Job description
Our client, a private healthcare provider headquartered in Dublin, specialises in delivering high-quality, person-centred support to individuals of all ages and abilities with disabilities, both in their homes and local communities.
They are currently hiring a Person in Charge to lead their new disability respite house based in Johnstown, Co. Kildare.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day running of the Respite centre for both children and adults.
Key Duties:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and service standards.
- Provide overall leadership and accountability for the safe, effective operation of the service.
- Safeguard residents by implementing protection policies and promptly addressing any concerns or incidents.
- Oversee and review individual support plans, ensuring they are person-centred, and goal focused.
- Recruit, train, supervise, and support staff, maintaining appropriate staffing levels and skills mix.
- Identify and manage risks to residents, staff, and the environment through ongoing assessment.
- Report weekly to the Directors with updates on all tasks and any issues noticed.
Essential Criteria:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a management or supervisory role within health or social care.
- Relevant degree (minimum Level 8) in Social Care or a related field.
- Management qualification - desirable
