My client a leading public sector organisation based in Belfast is currently seeking an experienced Senior HR Officer
Hours: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm
Pay: £18.10per hour
JOB SUMMARY/MAIN PURPOSE:
The post-holder will be responsible for assisting in the provision of an efficient and effective Human Resources service to the Trust. He/she will be responsible for ensuring that key objectives are achieved. He/she will also liaise with a wide variety of external stakeholders and agencies on matters of common interest.
The post-holder will carry a 'lead' strategic and operational role on a specific aspect of the Human Resources Function within their team.
Main Duties/Responsibilities
- Develop, implement and deliver an element of the HR function that ensures the Trust complies with relevant legislation.
- Provide professional advice, guidance and support to managers on a range of HR matters in line with Trust Policies, Procedures, and Human Resources best practice.
- Develop and maintain a pro-active approach in the management of HR processes and practice in conjunction with managers, including identification of emerging patterns and associated remedial action.
- Responsible for the timely preparation of highly complex/sensitive information on relevant aspects of HR and provide advice to managers, employees and external stakeholders as required.
- Attend Regional forums, Industrial Tribunals, Fair Employment Tribunals and provide advice as required.
- Conduct research in relation to HR practise and benchmark our service for the purposes of improvement.
Essential Criteria
Degree or equivalent professional qualification plus two years' experience working in a Human Resources Role at Band 5* or equivalent.
OR
Five years' experience working in a Human Resources Role, two of which must be at Band 5* level or equivalent.
*Band 5 is defined as a role which operates at a Human Resources Officer level, managing a team responsible for the delivery of HR services in an organisation that employs a range of professionals to deliver a number of services and attracts a current salary of over £28K. |
An ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Knowledge of HR Policies and Procedures & current Employment Legislation.
An ability to work effectively as a member of the HR Team
Excellent communication skills both orally and in writing
