Key Responsibilities:

Project Cost Management:

• Review tender budgets and validate to ensure all scope is captured and risks are identified.
• Develop and update detailed cost plans weekly.
• Manage subcontractor accounts, interim valuations, and final accounts, ensuring timely payment processing.
• Prepare weekly and monthly commercial project reports for senior management.

Contract Management:

• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with contractual terms and manage changes and variations.
• Administer obligations and issue interim and final accounts as required.

Procurement:

• Oversee the procurement process, including supplier and subcontractor selection.
• Evaluate and negotiate tenders to ensure best value for money.

Risk Management:

• Identify and assess project risks, developing mitigation strategies.
• Monitor and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle.

Client Management:

• Liaise with clients, project managers, and engineers to ensure project objectives are met.
• Attend project meetings and negotiate on commercial and contractual topics.

Team Leadership and Development:

• Work independently and as part of a team to execute various project stages.
• Mentor junior quantity surveyors and team members, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
