Mechanical Engineer

My client, Mechanical Engineering organisation, are looking to hire a new Mechanical Engineer.

This role will suit someone with a degree in Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineering.

This is a permanent role based on-site in Sligo.

Responsibilities

• Creating purchase orders and processing queries and requests.
• Understanding the business foundations of a project including profit plans, possible variation logs etc.
• Attending weekly project meetings compiling all drawing and documentation to assess for cost reduction.
• Preparing coordinated drawings that include structural mechanical and electrical components of the installation process.
• Producing weekly progress reports.
• Complete and assess technical submittals
• Using RV of equipment and materials arriving on site.
• Working as a team with any technical and commercial issues.
• Carry out Quality Control through inspections including P&ID's.

Requirements

• Honour's degree required in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering/ Building Services.
• 3+ years experience with a mechanical contractor.
• Having an in-depth knowledge of technical submittals and H&S systems and procedures.
• People management experience as you will be coaching a junior team.
