Occupational Therapist

Full time, permanent post, and reporting to the Director of Services.

My client, a private healthcare provider is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist for their Offaly and other Leinster based residential and community sites.

The role will suit someone coming from an Occupational Therapist background in clinical or acute services who has experience working with adults and children who have an Intellectual Disability, Autism Spectrum Disorder or Acquired Brain Injury, together with other complex needs.

Key Duties:

• Maximize the service owner's active involvement in the development of their care pathway.
• Continuous review of Occupational Therapy caseload management.
• Effectively manage their time and caseload to meet changing and developing service needs.
• Ensure work is undertaken within multidisciplinary team frameworks to support maximum benefit for the service user.
• Keep informed of new developments, skills, and technology to initiate and respond to changes in the work environment e.g., data analysis, clinical audit, financial control management.
• Develop and review policies and procedures with regular audit and revision as required, in the light of changing service needs.
• Consult with all government bodies and community support services when engaging with service users and their families.

Essential Criteria:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Registered with CORU as an Occupational Therapist in Ireland.
• Must hold a Full Irish Driving License and be willing to travel across the client services in Offaly, Kildare, Laois, and Westmeath.
• 1-2 year's post qualification clinical experience.
• Experience working within the disability sector is an advantage
