Job description

Key Responsibilities

· Interpret development briefs in line with customer expectations and company business plans.

· Demonstrates culinary knowledge and skills to create new recipes to satisfy customer briefs.

· Preparing/ cooking new products for customers to sample including hospitality for visits

  • To assist and present in customer presentations and product submissions demonstrating interpersonal skills.

· Up to date knowledge of food styles, restaurant & food industry market trends and competitor activity, translating food trends into relevant and commercially viable product development.

· Communicate new ideas to wider NPD team where relevant.

  • To take responsibility for short term or long-term projects where required.

· Completion of basic documentation and recipe record keeping on recipe system.

· Understand site capabilities and attend development trials when necessary.

· General kitchen & culinary duties.

· General cleaning duties and compliance with all hygiene regulations

· To share knowledge with other employee's and all new starts

The purpose of this role is to research & explore new food products to maintain and develop sales in accordance with agreed business plans. Interaction with customer encourages relationship building and securing of business. This also builds impression of professionalism & innovation for new customers.

Relevant catering qualification required

Experience in working in a kitchen environment
