HGV Vehicle & Trailer Mechanic

We are working with our client to recruit for an HGV Vehicle & Trailer Mechanic to join the team based in Maghera on a full time permanent basis. The company operates in the Waste Management, Environmental Maintenance and Road Marking Sectors, offering innovation service to both Public and Private sector clients.

The main responsibilities will be:

• Performing PSV inspections, servicing & repairing various vehicles and trailers and handling diagnostics, mechanical, electrical and hydraulic repairs.
• Ensure vehicles are maintained & repaired to a high standard
• Keeping accurate service records
• Maintaining a high standard of professionalism
• Dealing with breakdowns and defects
• Demonstrate a keen attention to detail

Essential Criteria:

• Fully Qualified HGV Mechanic (or part qualified)
• Previous experience in a similar role
• Valid UK driving licence
• Problem solving skills
• Attention to detail
• Team player

Preferred Criteria:

• Valid HGV licence (not essential)

Hours of Work:

• Monday to Friday from 7.30am to 5pm
• Weekend work available on a Saturday from 7.30am to 12.30am - Overtime rate)

Rate of Pay:

• Negotiable depending on experience and qualifications

Although this role is initially advertised for a Qualified HGV Mechanic, the client would be interested in talking to anyone from a mechanic background, qualified or part qualified.
