Technical Sales Executive

Staffline Ireland are recruiting for a Technical Sales Executive on behalf of a leading manufacturing company. The Technical Sales Executive will increase sales and expand the existing customer base throughout the island of Ireland, whilst enhancing the customer experience within the business. The ideal candidate will have experience of the construction industry and a clear understanding of building construction. The desired candidate should be able to produce basic CAD drawings and interpret customer requirements from general arrangement (GA) drawings and customer sketches.

Responsibilities:

• Communicating confidently with new and existing customers to identify sales opportunities.
• Liaising with customers via telephone, MS Teams or face-to-face, establishing their exact requirements.
• Managing customer accounts and acting as their first point of contact.
• Generating awareness around the products and services and the ability to carry out bespoke works.
• Liaising with the production team to ensure orders are accurately fulfilled in a timely manner.
• Producing accurate customer cost proposals from price lists.
• Ensuring all customer records and notes are updated correctly on CRM system.
• Monitoring and reporting on sales performance.
• Identifying innovative ways to increase sales and enhance the customer experience.
• Providing professional after-sales support.
• Providing detailed handwritten or computerised working drawings for manufacturing.
• Processing sales orders and dealing with associated administration.
• Maintaining knowledge about industry trends with a clear understanding of customer requirements.
• Any other duties role may involve.

Person Specification:

• 1 years' experience in a similar role preferable.
• Previous experience of the construction industry is essential.
• Strong degree of PC literacy with an emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail is essential.
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office packages is essential.
• Experience of achieving sales targets would be an advantage.
• The candidate should be able to read and produce basic general arrangement (GA) construction drawings on AutoCAD or similar.
