Recruitment Consultant

Location: Lisburn, Northern Ireland
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (flexibility required)
Salary: £23,000 - £25,000 (OTE circa £35,000)

About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Recruitment Consultant to join our Lisburn team. This role involves understanding and matching the needs of our clients and candidates to deliver tailored recruitment services, consistently achieving targets.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Business Development:

  • Generate new business and meet sales/gross profit targets.
  • Conduct client visits for new and existing business.
  • Support proposal documents and tenders, negotiate fees in line with company policy.
  • Source and attract candidates to meet client requirements.

Client Management:

  • Identify client needs and provide regular feedback on service quality.
  • Manage client vacancies and sites, collating client information for strategic insights.
  • Network with clients to benchmark salaries, candidate availability, and industry activity.
  • Offer an on-call service when required and generate management information reports.

Candidate Management:

  • Source, pre-screen, and register candidates in line with KPIs.
  • Prepare candidates for interviews and provide detailed client information.
  • Manage job offers, notice periods, and terms of employment.
  • Advise candidates on pay rates, training, and career progression.
  • Ensure high-standard CVs and provide feedback on job specifications.

Quality & Compliance:

  • Adhere to Key Processes and Quality Management System (QMS) standards.
  • Perform candidate vetting duties, including identity and qualification verification.
  • Maintain CRM system accurately and efficiently.
  • Assist in staff recruitment and development, mentoring new consultants.
  • Keep records in line with legislative requirements.

Qualifications & Experience:

Essential:

  • 1 year of recruitment consultancy experience or 2 years of direct sales experience in a target-driven environment within the last 5 years.
  • Proficient in MS Office, including Word and Outlook.
  • 5 GCSEs at Grades A-C or equivalent, including English and Maths.

Desirable:

  • 2 years of recruitment consultancy experience or 3 years of direct sales experience in a target-driven environment.
  • Experience with recruitment databases.
  • Professional accreditation (REC or NRF/ERF).
