Job description
We are currently recruiting for an exciting new role of a full time/permanent buyer/procurement for one of Northern Ireland's family run leading retailer. This company also boasts a state of the art e-commerce site.
You will be expected to collaborate effectively with the sales team and effectively manage supplier relationships to meet customer demands and boost profitability.
Your key duties will include:
- Daily monitoring and purchasing electrical goods
- Negotiating with suppliers
- Monitoring inventory levels
- Ensuring timely delivery of products
- Handle inbound phone calls and emails promptly
What you will need:
- Strong negotiation and communication skills with suppliers and stakeholders
- Experience in purchasing and inventory management
- Knowledge of electrical products and the retail industry
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to analyse market trends
- Ability to work in fast paced environments
- Proficient use of computer systems and software for purchasing
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
Desirable:
- Previous experience as a buyer
- Previous experience in electrical retail
- Bachelor's degree in business, particularly supply chain management
