Job description

We are currently recruiting for an exciting new role of a full time/permanent buyer/procurement for one of Northern Ireland's family run leading retailer. This company also boasts a state of the art e-commerce site.

You will be expected to collaborate effectively with the sales team and effectively manage supplier relationships to meet customer demands and boost profitability.

Your key duties will include:

  • Daily monitoring and purchasing electrical goods
  • Negotiating with suppliers
  • Monitoring inventory levels
  • Ensuring timely delivery of products
  • Handle inbound phone calls and emails promptly

What you will need:

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills with suppliers and stakeholders
  • Experience in purchasing and inventory management
  • Knowledge of electrical products and the retail industry
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to analyse market trends
  • Ability to work in fast paced environments
  • Proficient use of computer systems and software for purchasing
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills

Desirable:

  • Previous experience as a buyer
  • Previous experience in electrical retail
  • Bachelor's degree in business, particularly supply chain management
