Healthcare Assistant

Duration: Permanent - Full time

Hours: 40 hours per week, between Monday and Sunday

Location: South Dublin

Our client, a private Residential Nursing Home based in South Dublin is looking to hire a suitable HCA to join their Nursing Home. The role would be a mixture of 12-hour shifts and short 8-hour shifts, candidate must be flexible on both.

Key Duties:

• Assist residents with personal care (bathing, dressing, toileting).
• Support mobility and help with repositioning.
• Aid with meals and hydration, including feeding if needed.
• Monitor and report changes in residents' condition to nursing staff.
• Follow care plans and infection control procedures.

Essential criteria:

• QQI Level 5 or equivalent, or be at least working towards same.
• Must have previous experience working in a nursing home or in acute hospital settings.
• Must have previous experience working with older persons/geriatric patients.
