Health and Safety Manager

Our client, a leading manufacturing company are seeking to recruit a Health and Safety Manager to join their existing team, based at their site in Fivemiletown, Co Tyrone.

The Role:

The successful Health and safety Manager will:

• Promote a positive safety culture through engagement, leadership and empowerment to ensure all their employees, customers and contractors go home safe
• Align with the Company CSR strategy and sustainable business journey. Work in partnership with employees, the local community, customers, contractors, suppliers, clients and all stakeholders ensuring a positive impact on society.
• Maintain, develop and audit company integrated HSEQ Management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001 ISO 45001 & BES6001) and deliver on HSEQ KPI's to ensure a culture of continuous improvement is sustained
• Contribute to a workplace culture that promotes and supports the physical and mental wellbeing of all employees
• Monitor and advise on suitable control measures for HSEQ risks arising from the work activities; ensuring that all operations are managed in such a way as to prevent injuries, ill health and minimise environmental impact
• Proactively monitor HSEQ compliance across all sites, advise on and implement improvements where necessary
• Support, implement and improve the use of the EngagePro HSEQ technology across the company
• Maintain HSEQ policies, procedures and risk assessments ensuring adequate control and compliance with relevant legislation/guidance
• Ensure constant and meaningful HSEQ communications to ensure vital information is understood and followed by all employees, contractors and visitors
• Maintain company contractor approval system and ensure stringent contractor control procedures are followed

Hours of work:

• Mon - Fri 8am - 5pm

Requirements for the suitable Health and Safety Manager:

• 3 years previous Health and Safety Management experience in a manufacturing environment
• Previous experience of environmental management systems (ISO45001, ISO9001, ISO 14001)
• Relevant experience in successful companywide improvements
• Computer literate
• Good problem solver
• Excellent communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Able to travel to and from work areas as required
