Speech and Language Therapist

Full time post, 9-month contract, 37 hours per week and reporting to the Clinical Director

My client, a public healthcare provider is seeking an experienced Speech and Language Therapist for their Dublin site.

The role will suit someone coming from Speech and Language background in clinical or acute services who has experience working with people living with psychiatric and mental health conditions.

Key Duties:

• Conducting assessments to identify speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
• Providing therapy sessions to clients, both one-on-one and in group settings, using evidence-based techniques.
• Collaborating with families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure consistent and holistic care.
• To Liase with the multidisciplinary team and report cases to the Clinical Director.
• Document all assessments, diagnoses, treatment / intervention plans, clinical notes and manage all caseloads.
• Provide clinical leadership in the day-to-day running of the service.

Essential Criteria:

• Bachelor of Science or Master's degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
• Registered with CORU as a Speech and Language Therapist in Ireland.
• Dysphagia qualification to accredited level by IASLT.
• Clinical proficiency in the assessment and treatment of adults with acquired communication and Dysphagia.
• Strong understanding of evidence-based therapeutic techniques and interventions relevant to the role.
