Registered Manager
Mental Health Inpatient Facility
Hours: Full-Time, Flexible Shifts
Location: Belfast
About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Manager to oversee the daily operations of a mental health inpatient facility.

Responsibilities
Leadership and Management
- Manage the daily operations of the facility, ensuring smooth delivery of services.
- Lead, motivate, and supervise staff to deliver high-quality care.
- Develop and implement policies in line with the Mental Health Act (1983) and Mental Capacity Act NI (2016).
- Conduct regular audits and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Clinical Oversight
- Provide expert guidance on mental health practices and protocols.
- Administer and oversee medication management.
- Deliver clinical supervision and training for the team.
- Ensure care plans are thorough, patient-centred, and understandable.
Patient Care
- Foster a therapeutic environment supporting recovery and personal growth.
- Collaborate with patients, ensuring dignity and respect at all times.
- Implement effective risk management strategies and respond to patient needs.
Operational Excellence
- Manage resources and budgets effectively.
- Collaborate with external agencies to enhance care pathways.
Essential Criteria
- Experienced Registered Manager, Nurse, or Social Worker with Level 5 or equivalent qualification in Residential Management.
- Minimum 2 years' experience managing complex mental health needs.
- Strong knowledge of the Mental Health Act (1983) and Mental Capacity Act NI (2016).
- Proven leadership experience, including delivering clinical supervision.
- Ability to manage risk assessments and develop risk management plans.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Compassionate, resilient, and committed to supporting recovery.
- Flexibility to meet the needs of the role.
- Right to work in the UK.
Desirable Criteria
- Current NMC registration.
- Experience in a mental health role at management level within a care home.
- Completion of a leadership or management programme.
Additional Information
- An Enhanced Access NI Check is required.
- Registration with the appropriate regulatory body is mandatory.
