Our Client, A Large Public Sector Organisation based in Benone require Cleaners / General Attendants to join their team.

Role : Cleaners / General Attendants

Locations : Benone Tourist Complex

Hours of work : 37hrs per week Monday - Sunday rota basis

Hourly Rate : 1 -12 weeks £12.45 13 weeks + £12.85

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To carry out cleaning and general attendant duties.

To ensure that the facilities and surrounds within the perimeter of Benone are maintained to a clean and hygienic standard complying with legislation.

To advise of equipment that needs fixing or replacing and cordoning this off from public access.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND PERSONAL DUTIES

The responsibilities of the post holder will include the following:

  • Be responsible for maintaining a high standard of tidiness, cleanliness and safety in all Council buildings, including toilets, showers, mobile toilets/showers, laundry rooms, pods, sports hall, staff facilities, foyer, first aid room, stores, outdoor washing up and kitchen areas, sluices, all public areas and surrounds at Benone including the Ark facilities.

  • Replenish toilet rolls as required and replace bin liners in both internal and external bins.

  • High dust around doors and windows of all Benone buildings.

  • Hoover, brush and mop floors and ensure the appropriate safety signs are displayed.

  • Carry out litter-picking around the caravan and tent parks, and all areas within the perimeters of Benone.

  • Follow the cleaning schedules and adhere to health and safety standards at all times.

  • Ensure a safe environment for the public by checking all equipment, fixtures and fittings within your remit of responsibility, reporting, and where applicable, cordoning off any defective equipment until repaired.

  • Establish and maintain a good and respectful relationship with the public, customers and other members of staff.

  • Report all incidents/accidents and complete all necessary records/incidents sheets pertaining to the safety of patrons.

  • Be responsible for the safe keeping of keys and the security of all stores during shift.

  • To sweep and remove stones/pebbles off the crazy golf playing area when required.

  • To collect/lift golf balls from the driving practice range.

  • To assist with the delivery of events as required.

  • Wear uniform and protective clothing whilst on duty.

  • Take responsibility for ensuring that the digital timesheet is submitted before midday each Sunday.

  • To undertake any other relevant duties as directed.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential

  • Must be available Monday - Sunday from 1st April - 28th September 2025, including Bank and Public Holidays.

  • Available to work between the hours 9.00am - 8.30pm on a rota basis.

  • At least 4 months general cleaning experience in a public setting including cleansing of public toilets and showers with a good understanding of Health & Safety requirements.

  • Have effective communication skills both verbally and in writing and be able to relate and instruct the public politely as required.
