Job Title: Business Analyst (Public Sector) - Belfast - £18.10/hr

Location: Belfast
Hours: Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm (37.5 hours per week)
Pay: £18.10 per hour
Contract: Full-Time, Temporary

Role Overview

We are recruiting an experienced Business Analyst to support a leading public sector organisation in Belfast. This role involves analysing complex business processes, developing strategies, and supporting key IT and data-driven initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert analysis of business workflows, data collection, and reporting processes
  • Lead the documentation of business and functional requirements aligned with best practices
  • Work with stakeholders to present complex information in a clear, structured format
  • Assist with process design, system testing, data management, and reporting
  • Develop and manage project plans to meet critical deadlines
  • Organise and lead meetings with senior stakeholders to address workflow concerns
  • Ensure compliance with programme changes and governance
  • Develop and deliver training materials for clinical and non-clinical stakeholders
  • Support business readiness activities, including communications and system enhancements

Essential Criteria

  • Degree/HND with two years of relevant experience in an IT Business Analyst role (50+ users) OR five years of relevant experience in a similar role
  • Three years' experience in an ICT Business Analyst role
  • Strong knowledge of business analysis principles and ability to create detailed technical documentation
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders to deliver successful projects
  • Excellent communication skills to explain technical details to non-technical audiences
  • Understanding of project management methodologies

Desirable Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Visio, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Ability to analyse and manipulate business intelligence data
  • Experience delivering presentations and training
