Join the dynamic catering team at The Garda College in Templemore, Co. Tipperary, providing large-scale catering for students, staff, and events. You will develop menus, ensure food safety compliance, and manage stock, all while working in a supportive and professional environment.

The Garda College serves as the national centre for police training, development, and learning within the Irish State. A modern campus set over eight-acres, featuring a purpose-built residential training facility designed to meet the diverse needs of law enforcement professionals.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and plan menus and daily special.
• Create prep lists for catering assistant.
• Have an understanding of food costing and inventory.
• Maintain standards for food storage, rotation, quality, and appearance.
• Liaising with the relevant companies for food orders.
• Monitoring and controlling stock level.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety procedures in the kitchen.
• Ensure compliance with applicable health codes and regulations.
• Ensure maintenance and cleaning schedules for equipment, storage, and work areas.
• Provide provision of large scale catering.
• Food preparation and rigorous adherence to HACCP.
• Any other duties relevant to the post as may be allocated by the Catering Manager
