Staffline Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex ICT projects and programmes within a large public-sector environment.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled project management professional with a strong ICT background to play a key role in delivering digital transformation initiatives, managing stakeholder relationships, and ensuring successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

As Senior Project Manager, you will:

• Lead and deliver complex ICT projects, ensuring completion within agreed timescales and budgets.
• Develop and manage project plans, governance structures, risk registers, and reporting processes.
• Work collaboratively with stakeholders to develop business cases and identify technology solutions.
• Review business operations, strategies, and performance requirements to identify opportunities for ICT improvements.
• Manage project budgets, including capital and revenue expenditure.
• Procure and implement ICT systems, solutions, and services in partnership with external suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with PRINCE2 and organisational project management standards.
• Produce and present project reports, recommendations, and progress updates to senior stakeholders.
• Manage project teams and administration resources.
• Lead post-project reviews and capture lessons learned to support continuous improvement.
• Liaise with programme managers and related projects to ensure successful delivery and alignment of objectives.

Essential Criteria

Applicants must meet one of the following:

Option 1

• A University Degree, professional qualification (or equivalent/higher qualification); and
• A minimum of 3 years' experience in a project management role within a major organisation.

OR

Option 2

• A minimum of 5 years' experience in a project management role within a major organisation.

In addition, applicants must have:

• Experience leading an ICT project valued at over £100,000, or leading a complex workstream within an ICT project/programme valued at over £5 million.
• At least 3 years' experience managing teams.
• A recognised project management qualification, such as:
  • PRINCE2
  • MSP
  • PMP (Project Management Professional)
  • Or equivalent
• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Additional Information

Successful candidates may be required to obtain an AccessNI Certificate through Staffline, regardless of whether they currently hold a valid certificate. Costs range from £16 to £32, depending on the level of clearance required.
