Child Care Worker

Staffline Recruitment is currently recruiting on behalf of a respected childcare provider for a Childcare Worker to join their team on a permanent basis.

Hours

• 20 hours per week
• Monday to Friday
• 9:00am - 1:00pm
• Term-time position
• School holidays off
• Working approximately 43 weeks per year

Pay Rate

£12.71 per hour

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity to work within an established early years setting, supporting the care, learning and development of young children in a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support children's learning, development and wellbeing.
• Assist in planning and delivering age-appropriate activities.
• Maintain a safe and welcoming environment.
• Build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and childcare policies and procedures.
• Complete observations and contribute to children's development records.
• Assist with daily routines and play-based learning activities.

Essential Criteria

• NVQ Level 2 in Early Years Care & Education (or equivalent).
• Previous experience working with children in an early years or childcare setting.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities.
• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle would be advantageous.
