Are you an experienced Support Worker, Team Leader or Deputy Manager looking for your next challenge?

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established charity providing supported accommodation and housing services to individuals experiencing homelessness and other complex needs. About the Service

The service provides supported temporary accommodation to individuals experiencing homelessness, mental health challenges, addiction issues and other complex needs.

Working within a person-centred and trauma-informed environment, the team supports residents to develop independent living skills, improve wellbeing and progress towards long-term sustainable housing.

The Role

As Deputy Service Manager, you will support the Service Manager with the day-to-day running of the accommodation service while ensuring high standards of care and support are maintained.

Key duties include:

  • Supporting the management and development of the service
  • Leading, mentoring and supervising staff teams
  • Ensuring high-quality, person-centred support is delivered
  • Supporting individuals with complex needs using a harm reduction approach
  • Maintaining compliance with policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
  • Building positive relationships with external agencies and stakeholders
  • Contributing to service reporting, audits and performance monitoring
  • Participating in an on-call rota

Essential Criteria

Applicants must have:

A qualification in a Health, Social Care, Community or related discipline

AND

At least 2 years' experience supporting vulnerable or marginalised individuals, ideally within homelessness, addiction, housing support or mental health services

OR

At least 2 years' experience in a supervisory or line management capacity within a health and social care setting
