Housing First Case Worker
Location: Derry/Londonderry (community travel required)
Salary: £28,040 | Permanent | 35 hours
Staffline Recruitment Ireland is recruiting a Housing First Case Worker for a leading homelessness service provider in Northern Ireland.
Working within a Housing First, trauma-informed and harm reduction model, you will provide person-centred support to individuals experiencing homelessness and complex needs. You will help service users sustain accommodation, improve wellbeing and access services that promote long-term independence.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver one-to-one support and key working sessions.
- Complete needs and risk assessments.
- Develop and review support plans.
- Support tenancy sustainment and resettlement.
- Advocate for service users and coordinate support services.
- Maintain accurate records and reports.
- Undertake outreach and community-based support work.
Essential:
- A minimum of a formal Level 3 qualification in a social care field, e.g. A-level's, a diploma in health and social care or equivalent and at least 2 years paid relevant work experience
OR
- At least 3 years paid relevant work experience and a minimum of 3 formal qualifications at Level 2 to include Math and English, e.g. GCSE's or NVQ
AND
- Ability to work on a rota basis
- Essential: a full driving license and full access to a car insured for business purposes.
* Knowledge of homelessness and support planning
* Good communication and IT skills
* Full driving licence and access to a vehicle
* NISCC registered or willing to register
