Homeless Health Worker - FTC

Location: Derry/Londonderry
Salary: £25,394.88 per annum
Contract: Temporary (until December 2026)
Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Staffline Recruitment Ireland is recruiting a Homeless Health Peer Advocacy Support Worker for a leading charity supporting people experiencing homelessness.

This unique role is ideal for someone with lived experience of homelessness, addiction, or supporting a close family member through similar challenges. You will support individuals to access healthcare services, attend appointments, improve their wellbeing and build confidence to engage independently with health professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Accompany service users to health appointments.
• Provide advocacy and practical support.
• Work with healthcare, homelessness and community services.
• Support health promotion activities and peer engagement.
• Maintain accurate records and reports.

Essential Requirements

• Lived experience of homelessness and/or addiction, or experience supporting a close relative.
• 1 year's relevant paid experience or 2 years' volunteering experience.
• Good communication and basic IT skills.
• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Flexible Monday to Friday working pattern.
