Team Leader (Days or Nights)

Location: Holywood, Co. Down
Salary: £15.14 per hour
Hours Available:

  • Full-Time: 36 hours 45 minutes per week
  • Part-Time: 24 hours 30 minutes per week

Staffline Recruitment Ireland are currently recruiting for a Team Leader (Days or Nights) on behalf of our client, a well-established and highly respected organisation within the Health & Social Care sector.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced care professional who is passionate about supporting adults with learning disabilities and complex needs. The successful candidate will work closely with the Registered Manager to ensure the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care within a residential setting.

About the Service

Our client operates a residential service supporting adults with learning disabilities and associated complex needs. The service provides a welcoming, person-centred environment where individuals are supported to achieve the highest possible levels of independence, choice and quality of life.

The Role

As Team Leader, you will support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day operation of the service, ensuring residents receive safe, effective and high-quality care. You will lead by example, support staff development and promote a positive team culture focused on delivering excellent outcomes for service users.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the Registered Manager in the delivery of quality care and support
  • Assisting with the development and implementation of personalised care plans and risk assessments
  • Leading and supporting staff across shifts
  • Promoting person-centred care and independence
  • Ensuring accurate record keeping and compliance with policies and procedures
  • Building positive and constructive relationships with residents, families and colleagues
  • Providing hands-on support, including personal care where required

Essential Criteria

Applicants must meet one of the following:

  • A minimum RQF Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in Health & Social Care or a related discipline and at least 2 years' experience in a social care setting providing support and care

OR

  • GCSE English and Maths (Grade C or above, or equivalent) and at least 3 years' experience in a regulated care or support environment

In addition, applicants must have:

  • Working knowledge of the needs of people with learning disabilities
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience using IT systems and digital record-keeping platforms
