Support Worker (Female Only) - Supported Living Services, Belfast
Staffline Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading disability support organisation for a Female Support Worker to join their Supported Living Services team in South Belfast.
This is a rewarding opportunity to support adults with brain injury, physical disabilities, learning disabilities, sensory impairments, and neurological conditions to live independent and fulfilling lives within their local community.
Please note: This post is open to female applicants only due to the nature of the service and in accordance with the relevant legislation.
Location
South Belfast
Pay Rate
£13.45 per hour
Hours Available
- Full-Time: 35 hours per week
- Part-Time: 20 hours per week
- Permanent positions available
Flexibility is required, including evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and unsociable hours on a rotational basis.
The Role
As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in helping individuals maintain their independence and achieve personal goals. You will provide person-centred support tailored to each individual's needs while promoting dignity, choice, inclusion, and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting service users with daily living activities
- Assisting with personal care where required
- Encouraging independence and community participation
- Supporting leisure, social and life skills development
- Assisting with household management tasks
- Administering medication in line with policies and procedures
- Maintaining accurate records and care documentation
- Supporting service users to achieve personal goals
- Working collaboratively as part of a dedicated support team
- Promoting safeguarding, health & safety, and best practice standards
What We're Looking For
Essential Criteria
- Minimum 6 months' caring experience (paid or personal caring responsibilities)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Genuine interest in supporting people within a care environment
- Awareness of the needs of individuals with disabilities and additional support needs
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Flexible approach to working hours
Additional Requirements
- Right to work in the UK
- Willingness to undergo an Enhanced Access NI check
- NISCC registered or willing to register within 6 months of starting employment
