Senior Support Worker (Team Lead)

Location: Holywood, Co. Down
Pay: £14.18 per hour
Hours: Full-time | Day or Night contracts available

Staffline Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of our client for a Team Lead to join their dedicated team in Holywood.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Support Worker looking to take the next step in their career and make a real difference in the lives of adults with learning disabilities.

Current Vacancies:

  • 1 x Full-Time Night Team Leader
  • 2 x Part-Time Night Team Leaders
  • 1 x Part-Time Day Team Leader

Shift Patterns:

  • Full-Time Nights: 3 x 12 hour 15 minute shifts per week
  • Part-Time Posts: 2 x 12 hour 15 minute shifts per week (either days or nights)

Shift Times:

  • Days: 7:45am to 8:00pm
  • Nights: 7.45pm - 8.00am

About the Role

As a Team Leader, you will support the day-to-day running of the service while providing high-quality, person-centred care and support. You will lead by example, support team members on shift, and help create a safe, positive, and empowering environment for residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting adults with learning disabilities to live fulfilling and independent lives
  • Providing personal care and practical support as required
  • Leading shifts and supporting the wider staff team
  • Administering medication in line with policies and procedures
  • Promoting choice, dignity, independence, and wellbeing
  • Maintaining accurate records and reports
  • Supporting residents with community activities and appointments
  • Ensuring safeguarding and health and safety standards are upheld

Essential Criteria

  • Minimum 1 year of experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities
  • Experience leading or supervising staff within a care setting
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • A caring, compassionate, and person-centred approach
  • Flexibility to work a rota that includes weekends
