Junior Technical Sales Executive

Staffline Ireland are currently recruiting on behalf of our Newry-based client for a Junior Technical Sales Executive to join their growing sales team.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is motivated, confident, eager to learn and interested in building a career in technical sales.

you will be based in their Newry office, supporting the sales team in developing new business opportunities, managing customer enquiries and building relationships with both new and existing customers across Northern Ireland.

You will work closely with the National Sales Manager and experienced sales team while learning about the product range, customer base and sales process.

This role will involve time in the office, customer follow-ups by phone and email, and travel throughout Northern Ireland when required

Responsibilities:

  • Support the sales team with customer enquiries, quotations and follow-ups.
  • Help identify new business opportunities across Northern Ireland.
  • Visit customers and prospects alongside senior members of the sales team.
  • Learn how to carry out product demonstrations and site assessments.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
  • Assist with lead generation, prospecting and market research.
  • Keep customer information, quotations and opportunities updated in the CRM system.
  • Attend trade shows, customer meetings and supplier training when required.
  • Work with internal departments including sales, service, automation and marketing.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the product range

What We Are Looking For

  • A motivated person with a genuine interest in sales and customer relationships.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A willingness to learn technical products and manufacturing processes.
  • Good organisation and time management skills.
  • Confidence speaking with customers by phone, email and in person.
  • A positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Teams and general CRM/database use.
  • Full clean driving licence.

Experience

Previous sales experience would be an advantage, but it is not essential.

We would also be interested in hearing from candidates with experience in:

  • Customer service
  • Internal sales
  • Business development
  • Engineering or technical support
  • Manufacturing or production environments
  • Packaging, labelling, automation or industrial equipment

Desirable

  • Qualification in business, engineering, marketing or a related field.
  • Experience working in a B2B environment.
  • Interest in manufacturing, technology, automation or packaging.
  • Previous experience using a CRM or ERP system.
