Staffline Recruitment Ireland, on behalf of our esteemed client, is seeking an experienced CNC Milling Programmer/Setter to join their growing team. This is a full-time position based in Shannon, Co. Clare.

Our client is a well-established precision engineering and toolmaking company based in Shannon, Co. Clare, with decades of experience in the industry. The company specialises in precision toolmaking, CNC machining and engineering solutions for a range of specialist sectors. Operating from a dedicated manufacturing facility, the organisation places a strong emphasis on precision, quality, reliability, and customer requirements. With a close-knit team and a highly technical working environment, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC professional to develop their skills within a specialist engineering business.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines to produce high-quality precision components in line with technical drawings, specifications, and required tolerances.
Key responsibilities include:
- Create, edit, and optimise CNC milling programmes to produce precision components.
- Set up and operate CNC milling machines, ensuring machines are correctly prepared for production.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and tolerances, including GD&T.
- Select appropriate machining methods, cutting tools, tooling, and materials for each job.
- Develop and adjust CNC programmes to achieve accurate, efficient, and consistent machining results.
- Carry out in-process inspections using precision measuring equipment, including micrometers and callipers.
- Ensure components meet required quality standards and dimensional tolerances.
- Work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a wider production team.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
- Follow company health & safety and quality procedures at all times.

Criteria:
- Minimum 2-3 years' experience in CNC milling programming, setting, or a similar role;
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and tolerances, including GD&T;
- Good knowledge of CNC machining practices, cutting tools, tooling, and materials;
- Experience using precision measuring instruments, including micrometers and callipers;
- Experience with Siemens and/or Hurco controls is an advantage, although training will be provided.
