About the Role

Staffline are seeking a Combined HGV/LGV Driver Loader to support its Open Spaces, Streetscene, Waste Collection and Recycling services.

The role involves driving a range of vehicles, supervising staff, collecting waste and recyclable materials, street cleansing and supporting other operational duties as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive allocated large vehicles safely and responsibly.
• Collect and dispose of waste, recyclable and compostable materials.
• Undertake street cleansing, gully and drain clearance and priority waste collection.
• Supervise allocated staff and provide clear daily instructions and support.
• Complete vehicle checks, mileage, fuel and defect records.
• Operate vehicle telematics and associated equipment.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety, driving, operator licensing and tachograph requirements.
• Assist with snow clearance and gritting when required.
• Provide good customer service when dealing with members of the public.

Essential Criteria

Applicants must have:

• A full, current Category C driving licence valid for driving appropriate large refuse collection vehicles in Northern Ireland.
• A valid Driver Qualification Card (Driver CPC).
• Relevant experience driving in a commercial or public sector environment.
• Relevant experience dealing directly with members of the public, in person.
• The ability to successfully complete a Category C driving assessment as part of the selection process.

Shortlisting
