Support Services Assistant (Band 2)

📍 Locations: Duncairn Gardens (BT15), Lisburn Road (BT9) & Saintfield Road (BT8)

💷 Pay: £12.71 per hour

🕒 Available Shifts:

• 1:00pm - 6:00pm (Monday-Friday)
• 9:30am - 5:30pm (Monday-Friday)
• 7:30am - 2:00pm (Monday-Friday)
• 25-hour rota (4:00pm - 5:00pm)

About the Role

We are currently recruiting Band 2 Support Services Assistants to join a busy healthcare environment. This role is essential in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and supporting food service operations to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean clinical and non-clinical areas to Trust standards.
• Clean floors, furniture, fixtures, fittings, sanitary facilities, and equipment.
• Complete daily cleaning schedules to a high standard.
• Support infection prevention and control procedures.
• Prepare beverages, snacks, and meals in line with set menus.
• Order and rotate food stock.
• Follow food hygiene and food safety procedures.
• Label, date, and store food correctly.
• Carry out dishwashing duties.

Essential Criteria

• Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
• Good organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn.

No previous experience is required - full training will be provided.

Additional Information

Successful candidates may be required to apply for an Access NI certificate through Staffline, regardless of whether they already hold a valid certificate. The cost ranges from £16-£32, depending on the level of clearance required.
