Learning & Development Manager - Dundalk
Location: Dundalk
Hours: Monday-Thursday 8:00am-5:00pm | Friday 8:00am-3:00pm
Salary: €50,000 - €55,000
The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Learning & Development Manager to join a leading organisation operating across the Building Services sector in the UK and Ireland. This is a key leadership role offering the opportunity to shape training, compliance, and development strategy across a growing, multi-disciplinary business.
The Role
Reporting into senior leadership, the Learning & Development Manager will be responsible for driving a high-performing learning culture, ensuring full compliance with industry regulations, and delivering structured development pathways across the organisation.
You will work closely with stakeholders across engineering, manufacturing, and operations to ensure employees are fully trained, competent, and supported in their career progression.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all Learning & Development activities across the organisation
- Ensure compliance with all statutory, regulatory, and industry training requirements
- Develop and maintain training frameworks, competency matrices, and certification tracking
- Design and deliver structured learning and development programmes
- Partner with senior leaders to identify skills gaps and support succession planning
- Oversee onboarding, compliance training, and technical upskilling initiatives
- Manage training records, reporting, and audit readiness
- Lead, coach, and develop the L&D team
- Liaise with external training providers and ensure quality standards
Requirements
- 8+ years' experience in Learning & Development
- Proven experience managing training or L&D teams
- Background in construction, engineering, manufacturing, or similar environments
- Strong knowledge of compliance, certification, and training frameworks
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS)
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Strong organisational and leadership ability
Desirable
- Experience within MEP or construction environments
- Knowledge of ISO standards (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001)
- Experience supporting audits and regulatory compliance
- Accreditation with recognised training bodies
