Staffline Recruitment Ireland is seeking a Lead IT Refurbishment Technician with a strong interest and/or background in IT hardware, refurbishment and secure data processing. This is a full-time permanent role based in Limerick.

Organisation:
The company is a leading provider of secure IT asset management, data destruction, refurbishment and recycling solutions in Ireland. Working with businesses across various industries, the organisation ensures IT equipment is securely processed, refurbished and recycled in line with strict data security, environmental and quality standards.

Responsibilities:
As a Lead IT Refurbishment Technician, the role involves processing IT equipment for secure data destruction, refurbishment, testing and recycling while maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy and compliance. Your main responsibilities include:

  • Inspecting, recording and processing incoming IT equipment in line with customer requirements;
    * Refurbishing, configuring and testing desktops, laptops and other IT hardware, including installing operating systems and performing functional checks;
    * Using specialist software to securely erase data and ensuring all equipment meets data security standards;
    * Identifying equipment requiring repair, parts recovery or recycling;
    * Maintaining accurate asset records, stock information and quality documentation;
    * Supporting other technicians and working with the Operations Team to meet production deadlines;
    * Following all company Health & Safety, environmental and data security procedures.

This role requires strong technical ability, attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving. The Lead IT Refurbishment Technician will play an important role in ensuring IT assets are securely processed, restored to a high standard and prepared for reuse or responsible recycling.

Criteria:
* Good general IT knowledge and confidence working with computer hardware;
* Experience refurbishing, repairing or testing computers/electronic equipment is desirable;
* Experience working in a warehouse, production or technical environment is beneficial;
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills;
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills;
* Good communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team;
* Positive attitude with willingness to learn and develop technical skills;
* Level 5/6/7 qualification in an IT-related discipline is an advantage but not essential.
