Civil Project Engineer

Dundalk, Co. Louth
€55,000 - €60,000 DOE

An exciting opportunity is available for an ambitious Civil Project Engineer to join a growing engineering and infrastructure team delivering water, wastewater, and utilities projects across Ireland.

This role offers the opportunity to work on multidisciplinary civil engineering projects from design and planning through to construction, commissioning, and final handover. You will work closely with experienced project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and site teams while developing your technical and project delivery expertise within a fast-paced environment.

The Role

As Civil Project Engineer, you will support the successful delivery of infrastructure and utilities projects while assisting with site operations, project planning, procurement, quality control, and stakeholder coordination.

This role is ideal for someone looking to further develop their engineering career within a dynamic and collaborative project environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of civil engineering projects from start to finish
  • Coordinate site activities, subcontractors, and suppliers
  • Review technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget
  • Assist with setting out, surveying, and As-Built information collection
  • Prepare technical reports, quality documentation, and progress updates
  • Liaise with consultants, clients, and multidisciplinary project teams
  • Support procurement and material ordering activities
  • Promote Health & Safety and quality standards across all site activities
  • Participate in planning meetings and support programme delivery

Requirements

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
  • 3+ years' experience in a similar engineering role
  • Experience within utilities, infrastructure, water, or wastewater projects desirable
  • Strong knowledge of civil engineering and construction processes
  • Experience with GPS, total station, CAD, or surveying equipment advantageous
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Full driving licence required
