Cost Accountant
Full-Time | Manufacturing | On-site
We are working with a leading manufacturer in the construction and modular building sector across the UK and Ireland, known for delivering high-quality, innovative solutions. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Accountant to join their team.
The Role
This position will play a key role in improving financial visibility and supporting operational decision-making across the business. You will work closely with production, quality, and project teams to analyse costs and drive efficiencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyse project revenue and costs against budgets
- Monitor and assess costs related to product remakes in collaboration with the Quality team
- Oversee inventory processes, including stock takes and reporting
- Maintain and update product costing across manufacturing operations
- Support internal systems related to production and project management
- Contribute to the improvement and automation of cost accounting processes
- Assist with tracking and allocation of ESG-related costs (e.g. waste, emissions)
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline
- Experience in cost accounting, ideally within a manufacturing environment
- Strong Excel skills and familiarity with ERP systems (Sage 200 advantageous)
- Ability to interpret complex cost data and provide meaningful insights
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Proactive approach with a continuous improvement mindset
