Cost Accountant
Full-Time | Manufacturing | On-site

We are working with a leading manufacturer in the construction and modular building sector across the UK and Ireland, known for delivering high-quality, innovative solutions. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Accountant to join their team.

The Role

This position will play a key role in improving financial visibility and supporting operational decision-making across the business. You will work closely with production, quality, and project teams to analyse costs and drive efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and analyse project revenue and costs against budgets
  • Monitor and assess costs related to product remakes in collaboration with the Quality team
  • Oversee inventory processes, including stock takes and reporting
  • Maintain and update product costing across manufacturing operations
  • Support internal systems related to production and project management
  • Contribute to the improvement and automation of cost accounting processes
  • Assist with tracking and allocation of ESG-related costs (e.g. waste, emissions)

Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline
  • Experience in cost accounting, ideally within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong Excel skills and familiarity with ERP systems (Sage 200 advantageous)
  • Ability to interpret complex cost data and provide meaningful insights
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Proactive approach with a continuous improvement mindset
