Occupational Health Nurse

Location: Ballydine, Tipperary

Hours: 3 days per week, Monday to Friday

Pay Rate / Salary: DOE

Contract Type: Permanent

This Occupational Health Nurse role focuses on supporting employee health and wellbeing through professional occupational health services. The Occupational Health Nurse will work autonomously while collaborating with HR and management to support workplace health initiatives. This role would suit an experienced Occupational Health Nurse seeking a part-time position.

Key Duties:

• Conduct pre-employment screening and occupational health assessments
• Assess fitness to work and manage return-to-work and rehabilitation programmes
• Deliver health surveillance, screening, and risk-based assessments
• Provide advice on attendance management, absence trends, and health-related performance issues
• Support employees and managers with health advice and case management
• Maintain accurate health records, reports, and documentation
• Deliver health promotion initiatives and vaccination programmes
• Consult with GPs, occupational health physicians, HR, and external services

Essential Criteria:

• Registered with Nursing and Midwifery Board Ireland (NMBI)
• Postgraduate qualification in Occupational Health or equivalent
• Experience in Occupational Health Nursing
• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle

Desirable Criteria:

• Knowledge of eOpas Occupational Health Management Software
• Experience analysing absence data and reporting trends
