Senior Social Worker

Location: Rathfarnham, Dublin 16

Hours of Work: 37 hours

Reports to: Clinical Director

My client, a public in-patient hospital that provides services and support to people living with mental health conditions is seeking an experienced Senior Social Worker for their Dublin site to join their ever-growing multi-disciplinary team.

Key Duties:

• Provide support to patients, families, and others in rehabilitation services.
• Take part in senior meetings about quality and safety of care.
• Assess needs, plan support, conduct interventions, and review progress.
• Manage patient care using evidence-based approaches.
• Work closely with other healthcare professionals as part of a team.
• Keep clear and detailed records of all work and communication.
• Help train and supervise student social workers and support staff learning.

Essential Criteria:

• Must be registered as a social worker with CORU.
• Must have a degree in Social Work (or similar) and be eligible for professional membership.
• At least 5 years of experience after qualifying.
• Experience collaborating with people with long-term serious mental health conditions
