Kitchen Assistant

Our client, a large public sector organisation requires a Kitchen Assistant based in Magherafelt.

Role: Kitchen Assistant

Rate of Pay: £12.51

Location: Magherafelt

Hours: 37 hours

Duration: Ongoing (temporary)

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and serving of meals and beverages.
• Wash and clean kitchen utensils, crockery, equipment, and work surfaces.
• Operate dishwashers and other kitchen equipment safely.
• Ensure the kitchen and food preparation areas are kept clean and hygienic at all times.
• Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating food deliveries.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and infection control procedures.
• Dispose of waste in accordance with environmental and hygiene policies.
• Support chefs and catering staff during busy service periods.
• Maintain accurate records such as temperature checks where required.
• Ensure adequate supplies of crockery, cutlery, and kitchen materials for service.
