Speech and Language Therapist

Location: Dublin 16

Hours: 37 hours

Reports to: Clinical Director

My client, a public in-patient hospital that provides services and support to people living with mental health conditions is seeking an experienced Speech & Language Therapist for their Dublin site. Both basic & senior grades are invited to apply.

Key Duties:

• Carry out assessments to find speech, language, communication, and swallowing problems.
• Give therapy sessions to clients, both individually and in groups, using proven methods.
• Work closely with families and other healthcare professionals to provide well-rounded and consistent care.
• Work with the multidisciplinary team and report cases to the Clinical Director.
• Keep clear records of assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, clinical notes, and manage all assigned cases.
• Provide clinical leadership in the daily running of the service.

Essential Criteria:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
• Registered with CORU as a Speech and Language Therapist in Ireland.
• An IASLT-accredited qualification in dysphagia.
• Skilled in assessing and treating adults with acquired communication difficulties and dysphagia.
• Good knowledge of evidence-based therapy techniques and treatments related to this role.
