Social Care Manager - Children's Residential Service | Kilkenny
Staffline Recruitment, on behalf of our client, is seeking an experienced and motivated Social Care Manager to lead a Children's Residential Service based in Kilkenny. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional to take on a leadership role within a supportive and child-centred organisation.
The Role
The Social Care Manager will be responsible for the overall management and operation of the residential service, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, safe, and effective care to children and young people. The successful candidate will lead and support a multidisciplinary team while ensuring compliance with HIQA standards and relevant legislation.
Key Responsibilities
Provide strong leadership and day-to-day management of the residential service
Ensure compliance with HIQA regulations, Children First guidelines, and relevant legislation
Promote a child-centred, trauma-informed care environment
Lead, supervise, and support social care staff through regular supervision and performance management
Manage budgets, resources, and reporting requirements
Liaise effectively with external stakeholders including Tusla, families, and other professionals
Maintain accurate records and ensure best practice standards are upheld at all times
Essential Requirements
A Level 8 qualification in Social Care, Social Work, or a related discipline
A minimum of 3 years' experience in a management/senior role within children's residential services
In-depth knowledge of HIQA regulations and safeguarding procedures
Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
Full clean driving licence
Eligibility to work in Ireland
