Registered Manager - Domiciliary Care

Larne, Northern Ireland
Permanent | Full-Time (37.5 hrs)
On-Call Responsibility Included

£42000 per annum

The Role

As Registered Manager, you will be the legally accountable person responsible for:

  • Leading the service in line with Domiciliary Care Agencies Regulations (NI) 2007
  • Ensuring full compliance with RQIA Minimum Standards
  • Overseeing care planning, risk assessments, and quality assurance
  • Managing safeguarding concerns and incident reporting
  • Recruiting, supervising, and developing care staff
  • Maintaining governance systems, policies, and procedures
  • Liaising with RQIA inspectors and external stakeholders
  • Ensuring safe staffing levels and rota management
  • Participating in an on-call rota to support operational continuity

This is primarily a daytime managerial role, with flexibility required to meet service needs.

Essential Criteria

  • Minimum 2 years management experience within the last 5 years in adult health or social care
  • Experience within domiciliary care, residential care, or supported living
  • Strong knowledge of RQIA standards and regulatory compliance
  • Experience managing safeguarding and risk
  • Leadership and staff supervision experience
  • Registered with or eligible for registration with NISCC, NMC, or relevant professional body
  • Must meet RQIA fitness requirements for Registered Manager
  • Willingness to undergo Enhanced Access NI check

Desirable Criteria

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or equivalent)
  • Registered Nurse (Adult)
  • Previous experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager
