Job description

Title of Position: Construction Project Manager (Planner)

Salary: €83,272 - €103,925

Location: Dublin

Principal Duties

  • Project Management: Plan, organize, manage, coordinate, and monitor work programs.
  • Advisory Services: Provide planning advice on construction projects, including renovations and new constructions.
  • Guideline Development: Assist in developing design and accommodation guidelines.
  • Collaboration: Work with teams and stakeholders on masterplans and planning-related matters.
  • Best Practices: Promote best planning practices and advise on planning strategies.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with planning laws and regulations; stay updated on changes.
  • Strategic Contribution: Contribute to broader strategies, including climate action.
  • Policy Formulation: Formulate and adapt policies to comply with various regulations.
  • Staff Management: Manage and develop staff as needed.
  • Other Duties: Perform other duties appropriate to the Senior Planner grade as determined.

Training

On-the-job training is provided/encouraged. Facilities are also provided for attendance at courses, conferences, etc., relating to the role.

Requirements

  • Right to work in Ireland
  • Hold a professional qualification in planning recognized by the Irish Planning Institute or the Royal Town Planning Institute and be eligible for full membership of the relevant Institute.
  • Have at least five years of recent post-qualification experience in planning, with at least three of those years at a senior level.

Additional Demonstrable Skills:

  • High standard of technological training and experience in planning.
  • High standard of relevant administrative experience.
  • Familiarity with information technology.

Desirable Attributes:

  • Knowledge of the Capital Works Management Framework and the Public Works suite of contracts and documents.
  • Good knowledge of the Infrastructure Guidelines, public procurement requirements, and procedures.
  • A current full driving license (Category B) and/or access to a car.

This is a 12 Month contract through Staffline with the view to becoming permanent.
