Regeneration Development Surveyor - Belfast

Full-Time | £26.18 per hour

About the Role

We are seeking a Regeneration Development Surveyor to be responsible to the appropriate line manager to provide specialist strategic regeneration input to enable the development and delivery of regeneration and city development initiatives that contribute to the delivery of the clients strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake strategic site assessments and provide strategic advice in respect of Council land and property assets to maximise their use and bring forward development and regeneration opportunities that deliver on corporate objectives and ensure best value.
  • Appraise suitable regeneration opportunities through the provision of strategic property and development advice in order to drive regeneration and development opportunities in the city and deliver the clients strategic objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for and lead on land assembly that will deliver on strategic regeneration opportunities and build relationships and partnerships that enable development and regeneration to come forward.
  • Work alongside other public and private sector bodies to bring forward city wide development opportunities that maximise the use of public sector assets, and, in partnership with other stakeholders, lead, as appropriate, on the delivery of public /private regeneration projects that involve also other public and private lands.
  • Provide specialist support and lead on land transactions, development agreements and the delivery and management of aligned development agreements and provide specialist support on investment agreements.

Essential Criteria

  • All applicants must have current corporate membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors as either Chartered Development Surveyor, Chartered Valuation Surveyor, Chartered Commercial Property Surveyor or equivalent membership.
  • have a third level qualification in a relevant subject such as Estates Management, Property Investment and Development or an equivalent relevant qualification including Urban Regeneration or Planning; and
  • be able to demonstrate, by providing personal and specific examples on the application form, at least two years post-chartered qualification experience in the following areas:
  1. strategic property management and advice across a diverse property portfolio development; and
  2. property development and regeneration across a diverse property portfolio.
