Job description

My client, who is passionate about producing high-quality, natural foods in a sustainable way is now seeking a full time and permanent Quality Controller based in Cork. With your keen eye for detail, you'll identify any non-conforming products or activities and address them with a positive and motivating approach.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the prepping, cooking, and packing teams on the production floor
  • Monitor product quality, identify non-conforming products or practices, and take corrective action
  • Handle customer and consumer complaints with professionalism and empathy, ensuring quick resolution
  • Implement corrective actions to prevent recurring issues
  • Maintain strong communication with all departments to ensure smooth work flow
  • Use your task management, IT, and organisational skills to maintain accurate records and improve processes

Your Profile:

  • A passion for producing high-quality, natural, and sustainable food
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to address issues in a positive, motivating way
  • Ability to handle customer and consumer complaints effectively and empathetically
  • Strong task management, organisational, and IT skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field. Further education or qualifications in food safety or quality management
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a quality role within food manufacturing
  • Certifications: HACCP, BRC, or equivalent certifications in food safety management
  • In-depth understanding of food safety quality standards, and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing)
