PLANNER| FERMOY | PERMANENT |

Our client is currently searching for an experienced Planner to join their on-site team in Fermoy on a permanent basis. This is a great opportunity to join a fantastic team where a great salary, benefits and opportunities for progression are on offer. Please note that own transport is required due to location of site and this position is a fully office-based role Monday to Friday from 8.30am - 5.30pm.

THE ROLE|

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the planning and scheduling of all hazardous waste shipments to and from site.

RESPONSIBILITIES |

• Liaising with the teams including Risk, Assurance, Technical and Dangerous Goods on site ensuring operational, compliance and administrative processes are coordinated in relation to the shipment of waste products on site.
• Putting into practise your knowledge of Dangerous Goods and assess risks associated with shipments of hazardous materials ensuring compliance with legal requirements for the carriage of dangerous goods.
• Maintain records of shipments and safety data sheets
• Work closely with operations teams, drivers and regulatory authorities

REQUIREMENTS |

• Minimum 2 to 4 years experience within planning with previous experience in planning Dangerous Goods ideally coming from a waste background however previous experience within FMCG, Pharma, Chemical (cement, sand, stone) will be considered.
• DGSA Cert is very desirable
• Ability to multitask within a busy environment
• Good communication skills and effective planning and monitoring skills
