Production Operative

We currently require a Production Operative for our client in Newry, to carry out a variety of activities within the production process enabling production requirements to be met in the most effective and efficient manner and ensuring orders are met on time.

The Main duties are:

• Use appropriate machinery in the manner instructed to process components/products to meet production requirements.
• Move and position components/products using overhead crane or other lifting equipment as provided and in accordance with instruction given.
• Working within the internal quality system, ensure that optimum performance and required quality standards are maintained through to finished product stage.
• Clean and maintain tools and equipment in safe working order and in peak production condition.
• In conjunction with the Quality Manager ensure all health & safety systems and standards relevant to your department/function are adhered to and drive commitment to a safe working environment with a high standard of general housekeeping.
• Any other duties, within reason and capability, as determined by the Managing Director.

We aren't fixed on Formal qualifications as we would prefer to hear from those with production or factory experience looking for a fantastic opportunity in the Newry area, although Full training will be provided.

Typical hours of work are:

Monday to Friday 07:00 - 15:45

Pay rate: £12.00 Hr
