Job description

Staffline Recruitment Ireland are delighted to be recruiting a Fire&Security Engineer to join their ever-growing, successful, family run business. This will be a mobile role covering customers in the North West Region of Northern Ireland completing project works, reactive response and planned maintenance services to a wide variety of private and public sector clients.

You will be responsible for:

  • Full installation of fire alarms and security systems. Travel to customer locations, install, program and commission systems in compliance with current relevant standards.
  • Responding to reactive fault calls. Troubleshoot faulty systems to reach an accurate diagnosis enabling the repair to be affected with the aim of achieving a functioning and compliant system.
  • Perform planned maintenance service to fire and security systems. During these visits, systems will be checked to confirm that they are still fit for purpose regarding how the building may have changed either structurally or with how it is used.
  • Complete the necessary paperwork, noting all work performed, materials used and any further action necessary to achieve a compliant system.
  • 24 call-out cover on a rota basis.

What you will bring:

  • Experience in the installation, commissioning, servicing and maintaining of fire detection, access control, CCTV systems, intruder alarm systems to the applicable British and European Standards and knowledge of all relevant BAFE/NSI codes of practice.
  • Knowledge of relevant Fire Alarm Standards.
  • Knowledge of relevant Security System Standards.
  • Excellent diagnostic and fault finding skills and resolve issues in a logical manner.
