Job description

We currently require a Production Controller for our client in Newry, to effectively schedule production & manage production Administration and Supply Chain processes. If you are committed to workplace safety and quality standards, then the following may be your next best career move.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Production Planning and Scheduling

  • Control and update production schedule.
  • Schedule production.
  • Raise works orders for finished product and run Material Requirements Planning (MRP) process to generate work to lists/parts works orders and distribute all accordingly.
  • Create new hitch & bucket Bill of Material (BOM) on Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
  • Check and approve new hitch & bucket Bill of Material (BOM) for production.
  • Plan full loads/containers for despatch.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting

  • Track production metrics such as labour efficiencies, cycle time and other KPI's as required.
  • Analyse data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Prepare regular reports on production performance for management review.

Process Improvement

  • Continuously identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and increase efficiency.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience in production planning, scheduling, and control within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Proficiency in using production planning and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
